I came across this plan the other day when researching for another assignment. It presents an interesting concept of designing an urban settlement from scratch and attempting to make it completely economically and environmentally sustainable. A large amount of planning and other work has gone into this project and if successful could revolutionize modern planning. What implications would this have for predeveloped settlements that contain the mistakes of the past such as Auckland????
